The records contain subject files from the office of the Assistant to the President for Multicultural Programs and Affirmative Action Officer dating from 1988. They contain information on programs, lecture series, budgets, and issues relating to multicultural and minority affairs at Bowdoin. Also included are articles on multicultural affairs and committee reports from the Oversight Committee on Multicultural Affairs.

The collection contains the Dean for Planning and General Administration's subject files.

The collection includes the Bowdoin Administrative Staff bylaws, and some meeting minutes. There is also a brief history, committee information, and miscellaneous printed material.
