This series contains files documenting daily operations of Mitchell's Senate offices in two groups of paper files: one from 1980 through 1983 regarding field office operations, and one from 1980 through 1994 from the Washington office. The material includes a continuous run of memos that discuss office policies, working protocols, travel, treatment of mail, responsibilities of staff members, and events. This series also contains one group of electronic data tapes downloaded from the Washington and field offices during the final days of Senator Mitchell's term. Most of files were maintained and created by Donna Beck. The back-up data tapes containing files created in the Washington office were made by Jeffrey Hecker.
