The bulk of the case files concern Maine veterans of the Revolutionary War (1775-1783), the War of 1812, and the Civil War (1861-1865), but records for those that served in the Seminole Wars (1st 1818, 2nd 1835-1842), the Mexican War (1846-1848), and the Aroostook "War" are also included.
