Scope and Content
This collection contains correspondence, documents, reports, architectural plans, campus views, photographs, printed materials, clippings, realia, and ephemera. The collection includes general information on buildings at Bowdoin College accumulated from a variety of sources. Subject files include building specifications, correspondence with architects and construction companies, estimates, dedication programs, clippings and ephemera. Also included are Patricia McGraw Anderson's research files for her 1988 book on Bowdoin College architecture.

Biographical/Historical Note
General information on buildings at Bowdoin College was accumulated from a variety of sources. Subject files include building specifications, correspondence with architects and construction companies, estimates, dedication programs and memorabilia. Some correspondence between the College and those who have funded building projects is also included. The second series contains architectural plans for a number of College buildings. Clippings, slides and photographs are contained as well. Buildings and facilities represented include: Farley Field House, Dayton Ice Arena, Curtis swimming pool, the Cleaveland meteorological cabinet and the Hawthorne-Longfellow Library.
