Biographical / Historical
Estabrook's Tavern was located near the northwest corner of Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, and during the 1810s served as the principal public house and stage house in the town. It was better known from the 1820s on as Moorhead's Tavern. Estabrook was born in Lunenburg, Massachusetts, but lived mainly in Brunswick from 1801 until his death in 1859
