Series Description:

Correspondence, 1888-1946, consisting of letters concerning the "Morrissey" voyages, arrangements for lecture tours, communication with members of the U.S. Government during World War II, and a few family letters. The "Morrissey" correspondence includes letters from museums seeking specimens, companies donating supplies in exchange for endorsements, members of the expeditions, and news organizations. A detailed chronological list and alphabetical correspondent index are available for in-house use.
