Larger Libraries of Maine, 1961
Scope and Contents
The Administrative Subject Files series contains the working files of the library's administrative staff, including but not limited to the library director and associate librarian. Much of the material in the series is from the late twentieth century when Arthur Monke was director and Judy Montgomery was Associate Librarian (as well as Acting Librarian for a brief time). These subject files reflect the operational duties of the library staff and the... various ongoings at the library.
Historical records are also contained in the series. They reflect the previous arrangement of the library's records and are included here in their original chronological order. These records include the some of the oldest documents related to the library, much of which are financial and accession records. Previous versions of the finding aid can be accessed by Special Collections staff.
