Scope and Contents
The Realia series includes two cups and saucers from dining. One set was a gift from Harriet Bridge, the granddaughter of Charles Pennell (class of 1892) and one was a part of the set of dishes which were used at Bowdoin College when Longfellow and Hawthorne were students. The College later sold these dishes. Some were bought by a woman in Brunswick who later gave this cup and saucer to Warren Oscar Plimpton of the Class of 1882 whose daughter gifted the set to the college.
