Scope and Contents

This series contains programs, game films, and team records. Programs are from home and away games. Statistics and advertisements are included in the programs. There is also a 1909 football score card which includes the 1909 schedule, a list of team members, a photograph of the team's captain, manager and coach, and advertisements. In addition, there are tickets for a 1963 game, and realia.

Biographical / Historical

Football was established at Bowdoin in 1889 as a varsity sport forming the first intercollegiate squad in the state. Since then, the Bowdoin football team has played for 120 seasons against other members of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC).
