Description:
Records were created from 1980 through 1994. Material types include case and project logs, memos, constituent correspondence, clippings, and speeches. The administrative files document how the Bangor office tracked local and national issues as well as field office statistics. The files cover a wide range of issues and events including agriculture, commerce, environmental protection, public health, Social Security, veterans' affairs, housing assistance, Robert Bork's Supreme Court nomination in 1987, the Persian Gulf crisis in 1991, the Clean Air Act 1990, the Federal Fish Inspection legislation 1990, the Endangered Species Act, and product liability legislation in 1992. Staff members handling and creating these files include Clyde MacDonald, Steve Hart, Kristin Amerling, and Margaret Malia.
