Description:
Records were created from 1980 through 1994. Files contain constituent correspondence, case and project logs, memos, notes, health reports, clippings, and speeches. Files were generally created following constituent inquiries and contain information pertaining to various state and local issues and events. Topics covered in the case records include the OSHA citation of Boise Cascade, boundary issues at Acadia National Park, the Maine Central Railroad strike of 1987, immigration procedures, spruce budworm spraying from 1982-1984, closing of the Bangor H.U.D. office in 1985, the Sebec Hydroelectric Project, and transfer of the Bucks Harbor Air Force Station.
The long-term senior field representative at the Bangor field office was Clyde MacDonald.
