Description:
The legislative accomplishments of Senator Mitchell's office were carefully documented and internally tracked from 1988 through 1994. Many legislative aides wrote a synopsis of accomplishments in a given subject area during a given session of Congress. The synopses contain supporting information such as press clippings, pages of the Congressional Record, and commentary. These background files provide a rich resource for understanding the continuity and depth of accomplishment achieved by the senate office. Also included are legislative alert packages filed by date from 1986 through 1989, which were created to inform field office staff of current legislative developments.
