Description:
This series spans the years 1977 through 1994 and contains voting records, descriptions of bills, summaries of the Mitchell office legislative accomplishments, and a collection of staff memos on all subjects from 1980 to 1983. Transitional material from the Muskie office is included here, along with some early legislative files. The collective information could be used to create press releases, year-end statements, campaign material, or serve as factual matter in speeches and discussions. It gives information of the overall mission and progress of the Mitchell office. Subjects include the environment, defense contracts, health care, the federal budget, and economic development.
