Series Description:
The Bowdoin Women's Association began as a small unofficial organization when women were first admitted to Bowdoin in the early 1970's, and was formally founded during the 1974-1975 academic year, the first year of full coeducation at Bowdoin. The association promotes awareness and education about gender issues through speeches, seminars, workshops, performance artists and other activities. The series contains flyers and posters announcing events, handbooks and newsletters, meeting materials, and miscellaneous printed material.
