William Jenks correspondence and addresses
William Jenks (1778-1866) was a Congregationalist pastor, a Bowdoin College Overseer, 1806-1811 and secretary of the Bowdoin College Trustees, 1818-1822. Collection contains letters to concerning Jenks' preaching, his biography, and missionary work of free African-American Christians in Portland, Maine; also includes religious themed addresses.
