Scope and Contents From the Collection: The BGSA (Bowdoin Gay-Straight Alliance) received its charter from the Student Executive Board in 1980. In the last half of the 1980's the organization was known as BGLSA (Bowdoin Gay/Lesbian-Straight Alliance), in the 1990's as B-GLAD (Bisexual Gay Lesbian Alliance for Diversity), in the early 2000's as BGSA (Bisexual Gay Straight Alliance), and then back to BGSA (Bowdoin Gay/Straight Alliance) beginning 2002-2003.
