Scope and Content

The Frick Lincoln Autograph Album contains ten ALS and DS by Abraham Lincoln, members of his cabinet, and prominent contemporaries, including Stephen Douglas and Ulysses S. Grant. These are bound into a copy of Carl Schurz's "Lincoln: A Biographical Essay...." The Frick Presidential Autograph Album contains autographs of presidents of the United States, from Washington to Wilson (1789-1917). Both albums were compiled by Henry Clay Frick.
