Scope and Contents

Bowdoin College album appropriated as a wedding planner, listing numerous invited guests to a December 1867 Newburyport (Mass.) wedding and reception of an unnamed bride from Newburyport and groom from Portland, Me. Also included are lists of names of Portland callers to the couple's Portland residence in January and February, 1868, and an inventory of wedding gifts. Guests named include Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Also includes an incomplete ms. draft of a play written in French entitled La position delicate
