Biographical / Historical

The Resource Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity was established in 2005 and co-located with the Women's Resource Center at 24 College Street. The Center was created to provide support to Bowdoin's gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning and straight populations. It was dedicated to educating the campus community about sexuality and gender identity and offered an array of programming including invited lectures, discussion events, and training sessions, as well as developing and distributing brochures and print materials on gender and identity for the Bowdoin community. The Resource Center became part of the newly created Sexuality, Women and Gender center in 2017.
