Biographical/Historical Note

The Student Activities Office has been an integral part of student life for many decades at Bowdoin. Its primary goals are to provide students with social, cultural, and educational experiences outside the classroom; facilitate leadership development within organizations; and to provide recourses for student events. An activities fair is also coordinated every year during the fall semester to introduce each incoming class to the opportunities at the College.

The Office of Student Activities oversees programs designed to enhance students’ college experience through social, cultural, spiritual, educations, athletic, student government and recreational cocurricular experiences. Student Activities is committed to helping students connect with one another and to facilitating involvement in a wide variety of activities. The Student Activities team provides support for more than 120 student organizations and advise students in producing hundreds of programs a year.
