Series Description:
This series contains records of the Bowdoin Clubs. In 1989 there were sixty-two recognized Bowdoin Clubs throughout the United States and overseas. The Director of Alumni Relations oversees, but does not plan or coordinate Bowdoin Club activities. The clubs perform a variety of functions. They sponsor social and educational activities for alumni in their local area, and involve alumni in college service, especially in identifying and developing the interest of prospective students. The records document the activities of individual Bowdoin Clubs, particularly concerning visits from college personalities or Alumni Association officials. Also includes information on the Bowdoin Teachers Club.
