This series primarily comprises manuscript, typescript, telex, and clipped articles written by Hilton Kramer, as well as research materials presumably used by Kramer as background. The articles cover both the literary and artistic aspects of Kramer's career and were written for numerous publications. The series also includes some of Kramer's essays and notes from his post-graduate work at the Indiana University as well as the proposal for and drafts of "The Twilight of the Intellectuals" (Chicago, 1999). There is some duplication between drafts and clippings of articles in this series and newspaper clippings found in the series Newspaper Clippings (M252.4).
