Series Description:
This series contains Bowdoin College's responses to the IPEDS Salaries, Tenure, and Fringe Benefits of Full-Time Instructional Faculty Survey. The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) is a federal agency that collects data for the U.S. Department of Education National Center for Education Statistics. The purpose of this survey is to collect data on full-time faculty members by, financial considerations, contract length, sex, and academic rank. This data is used by postsecondary institutions to establish competitive compensations packages, and by government agencies to analyze the the teaching profession as a whole.
