Series Description:
This series contains Bowdoin College's responses to the IPEDS Completion Survey. The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) is a federal agency that collects data for the U.S. Department of Education National Center for Education Statistics. The purpose of the completions survey is to collect data on the number of graduates by type of program, and level of awards, and to monitor changes educational patterns. Completion data is used by Federal and State government agencies for manpower planning and by business and industry groups for recruiting purposes; and by researchers and others to study manpower supply and demand.
