Series Description:
Correspondence, clippings, pamphlets, reports, voter lists, speeches, and other records relating to Brewster's life when he was out of office and living in Dexter, Maine, between 1929 and 1934. Some of the material relates to his legal practice, to temperance issues, and to his special interests in water power, fisheries and agriculture. Most concern his campaigns for Congress, especially the 1932 contested senatorial election against John G. Utterback. Undated material is filed at the beginning of the series.
