Series Description:

The Committee on the Future was created to identify and examine educational trends for the following decade, and determine how the trends would impact Bowdoin, in order to form a basis for planning. Meeting for the first time in the Fall of 1999, the Committee was chaired by trustee, Richard Stowe, and consisted of trustees, faculty members, students, and administrators. In addition to the Committee's December 2000 report and separate appendix, the series contains meeting materials, articles, notes from visits to other institutions, and post-report retreat and planning material.
