From the Series:

156 letters between Charles Vaughan, Jr., Mary Susan (Abbot) Vaughan, and their children, written between September 11, 1820 to ca. 1866. Includes a few letters from members of the Charles Vaughan, Jr. family to various cousins, aunts, and uncles on the Abbot side.

Later letters, written from 1863 to 1865, are between Charles Everett Vaughan (1835 - 1904) and his family as he worked on the U.S. Navy's floating hospitals.
