Series Description:
On September 3, 1993 President Edwards was nominated by Governor John R. McKernan, Jr. for appointment as a member of the new Maine Science and Technology Foundation, an appointment which was confirmed by the Maine Senate. The Maine Science and Technology Foundation, which replaces the Maine Science and Technology Commission, is the principal science and technology organization for Maine state government, and is responsible for recommending to the governor and the legislature policies and programs necessary for the advancement and integration of science and technology in Maine. President Edwards' files contain notes, correspondence, meeting agendas, minutes and reports.
