Series Description:

The Maine Mathematics and Science Alliance, with President Edwards as chair, was formed in 1992 as a nonprofit corporation to improve mathematics and science education in Maine, kindergarten through post-secondary. Supported by monies from the state of Maine, the National Science Foundation, and corporate sponsors, the Maine Mathematics and Science Alliance focused on systemic planning and evaluation, curriculum and instruction, community integration, and teacher preparation and enhancement. President Edwards' files contain agendas, meeting minutes, memos, manuals, reports, newsletters, and newspaper clippings.
