Series Description:
This series contains correspondence between Robert H. Edwards, Leonard Cronkhite, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, John F. Magee, Chairman of the Presidential Search Committee, and other Bowdoin administrators regarding the presidency of Bowdoin and terms of employment. As additional background information there is a 1981 employment letter with A. LeRoy Greason. A draft of the press release announcing Edwards' presidency is included as well as detailed briefing material from the Office of the Vice President of Development and the Dean for Planning and General Administration designed to aid Edwards in his transtion to the presidency.
