The Charles H. Livingston papers date from 1828 to 1982 and measure 14 linear feet. The papers are arranged in eight series: Correspondence, Articles, Books, Gautier Le Leu, Skein-Winding Reels, Class Material, French Autograph Collection Catalogs, and Research Files & Study Notes. Note that a large selection of the material is written in French. An unframed oil portrait of Francoise Ruet Livingston, Charles’ wife, as an infant, painted by her father is also included in the collection.
