Photographs of James Stacy Coles and his family, as well as pictures of Coles at Bowdoin College events. There is a portrait view of Coles, and photographs of him at professional functions that were not connected to Bowdoin. In addition, there are a number of images of underwater explosions, likely dating from his work at the Underwater Explosives Laboratory at the oceanographic Institute in Woods Hole, Massachusetts.
