Series Description:

The bulk of the speeches in this series were made by James Stacy Coles as president of Bowdoin College. Bowdoin speeches include his introduction of Martin Luther King, Jr. on May 6, 1964, weekly Chapel Talks, addresses at College events such as convocation, and addresses to alumni clubs. Speeches from Coles' tenure as president of the The Research Corporation include talks in India, Argentina, and Sweden.
