From the Series:

Material concerning the finances and lives of Chamberlain and his family, 1838-1920. The contents are divided into sections on Chamberlain's pension, his family's finances, documents relating to their estates, family manuscripts including commonplace books and school notebooks, land deeds and lumbering records, and miscellaneous poems. Sub-series M27.7.1 contains the records of Thomas D. Chamberlain, brother of Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain.
