This series consists of about 85 letters written between 1795 and 1821. The bulk of these letters includes correspondence between Joseph Bringhurst, Jr., ("Petrarch") and Debby Ferris ("Laura"). Some letters originally included in the Bennett Census as correspondence between "Petrarch" [Charles B. Brown] and Debby Ferris have since been reclassified as correspondence between "Petrarch" [Joseph Bringhurst, Jr.] and Debby Ferris. These letters include Bennet numbers 54, 55, 57, and 58.
