Series Description:

Ladd House is located at 14 College Street. Formerly Chi Delta Phi was dedicated on April 5, 2002, in honor of Samuel A. Ladd, Jr. (1906-1998) of the Class of 1929. Director of Bowdoin's Placement Bureau (1944-1972), Director of Student Housing (1957-1970), Varsity Tennis Coach (1949-1956), Class Agent for 56 years, Recipient of the 1976 Alumni Service Award, President of Lambda of Zeta Psi during the construction of the chapter house in 1928-29, and President of the Zeta Psi House Corporation for more than 20 years.
