Series Description:
As competition to the Bowdoin Orient, the Patriot was "designed to present alternative points of view to the Bowdoin community, and to serve as a forum for lively political debate." (cf. first issue) It began publication in October 1983, continued with lapses until the late 1990's, then was reestablished in the spring of 2001, continuing until 2003. Founded as a conservative journal of opinion and analysis, the Patriot has maintained this representation throughout its tenure.
