Correspondence, bulletins, and pamphlets of the United War Work Campaign. The United War Work Campaign was created during the latter stages of World War I and was composed of seven different organizations, among those being the Salvation Army, YMCA and the American Library Association. The goal of the group was to raise 175,500,000 for the American soldiers fighting in Europe so as to cater to any and all of their needs. The majority of the correspondence is directed to President Sills. President Sills was a coordinator for the Maine schools student division that was participating in raising the funds for the Campaign in order to help reach the New England quota of 14.9 million dollars. Also included are bulletins and pamphlets for the United War Work Campaign.
