Series Description:

Effective with the 2008-2009 academic year, the Committee on Governance and the Faculty Affairs Committee were replaced by the Committee on Governance and Faculty Affairs (GFA). The Governance and Faculty Affairs Committee establishes agenda for faculty meetings, oversees election and appointment of faculty committees, forms working groups when requested and/or necessary, manages and proposes revisions to the Faculty Handbook, brings to the faculty for vote issues of policy, and advises the President and Dean on issues such as compensation, workload, intellectual property, intellectual freedom, sabbaticals, voting eligibility, and family leave. Included in this series are agendas, correspondence, memos, minutes, and notes.
