CBB Deans, 2000-2001
Series Description:
Colby, Bates, and Bowdoin Colleges (CBB) collaborate in a number of projects. Most of the files in this series concern an Off-Campus Study project, and a Library and Information Technology project (CBB2), both implemented with Mellon Grants. The bulk of the material is about the CBB Off-Campus Study programs in London, Quito, and Cape Town. Academic year 1999-2000 was the first year for London (managed by Colby) and Quito (managed by Bates); 2000-2001 was the first year for Cape Town (managed by Bowdoin). The CBB Quito center closed its doors at the end of fall semester 2003, and the London and Cape Town centers closed at the end of spring semester 2005. The closure of the CBB Off-Campus Study programs was mainly due to unpredictable student enrollments and high (shared) administrative costs.
