This series contains records of academic departments filed by department, including correspondence and reports regarding department reviews, sabbatical plans and staffing needs from 1966 to 1987. There are also records pertaining to budget reports and requests, proposals for course offerings, office and classroom space requirements, and equipment requisitions. Other files relate to Bowdoin's museums and special programs such as the Bethel Point Research Station, Kent Island, the Sri Lanka program and the Breckinridge Public Information Center. While the bulk of the material is from 1966 to 1987, in some cases items from this date range were integrated with files after 1987.
