Scope and Contents
This series contains correspondence, articles, newspaper clippings, maps and documents from early expeditions to the island, and typescript reports that provide information about Bowdoin's scientific station on Kent Island. The Historic records series also consists of the developmental history of the island as a research station. A large portion of the records are the daily weather reports and data taken from the island from the 1930s to the late 1980s. This research was documented and collated by various scientific researchers on the island. The series also includes a comprehensive summary of this data.
