Scope and Contents
There are two sub-series:"New York Times" clippings, and Non-"New York Times" clippings. In the first sub-series, the bulk of the clippings consist of the"New York Times" Archives, which appear to contain all of Kramer's articles published by the"New York Times" from 1967 through 1982. Also included are clippings of Kramer's writings for the"New York Times" prior to 1967. Additionally, in the second sub-series there are articles written by Kramer for the"American Scholar" , "New York Review of Books" , the"New York Observer" , and"Commentary" . The clippings files contain many duplicate articles (either duplicates within the series itself or with items found in Writings).
