Scrapbook
Scope and Contents
The scrapbook contains clippings of horticulrutal articles written by Little, some of which were published anonymously, as well as addresses, reports of conventions and exhibitions, an account of travel in Canada, and several letters written to him, as well as illustrations, prints, and poems that were of interest to him. His annotations are present throughout. A diagram of Little's property in Bangor is labelled with his annotations, and a broadside for his nursery is hand-colored, presumably by Little. The volume itself was originally an account book belonging to his father, Henry Little Sr, a Boston lawyer, and was later used by Colonel Little for his own accounts, though many of these entries have been obscured by the items pasted in.
