Scope and Contents
Material related to Bowdoin College traditions, such as the program for funerals of mathematics textbooks and the annual quad streak after the first snow. Printed ephemera also includes individual Bowdoin songs, song sheets, and booklets of Bowdoin songs, and Bowdoin songs in published songbooks. There is an 1816 manuscript copy of "Ode: The Song of Bowdoin," manuscript song sheet music of Bowdoin songs, and information about Bowdoin songs. Series also consists of wall calendars, that include pictures of campus buildings, athletic teams, and student activities. Articles and Newspaper clippings featuring Bowdoin College history are contained in the series. A variety of clippings and memorabilia from the different anniversaries acknowledged at Bowdoin College, such as the Centennial, are also included in the series.
