This series includes the pre-organized files of Professor Hormell. These files date from both before and during his time at Bowdoin as a professor of government and legal studies. He specialized in surveying and municipal studies and as such the files contain research materials gathered by him on the populations, governments, and local entities of towns in Maine and elsewhere. The subject files have been kept in Hormell's original order as to maintain his intent.
