Scope and Contents
Ellen Chandler Quinn was the daughter of Horace P. and Grace Mitchell Chandler. She was born in 1880. Following her parents' deaths, she maintained the family's Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, homestead with her older sister, Grace, only moving out when she married later in life. Chandler was a dedicated diarist, and her materials tell the story of her life with her parents and siblings, her ailments, her friends, and the larger social scene of Jamaica Plain.
