Photograph album of various towns in the Ottoman Empire, including Constantinople
Scope and Contents
The series is composed primarily of cartes-de-visite albums, depicting primarily unidentified sitters. Those pictures which are identified suggest the albums largely represent family members. Of particular note is a small album of tipped in silver gelatin prints showing scenes around the former Ottoman Empire, including the Saraglio Palace in Constantinople, Scutari, Broussa, and Yenishehr.
