Subject files date from 1986 through 1987 and contain information relating to the procedural and informational aspects of the investigation: agendas, questions, testimony, correspondence, memos, and press information. Files also contain background information: research notes and reports, laws, rulings, briefs, and statements. There are files on Lt. Col. North, Retired Air Force General Richard Secord, Admiral John Poindexter, John Neilds, and Manucher Ghorbanifar. Files include a letter from Archibald Cox, the Watergate special prosecutor, urging the committee to refrain from granting immunity to witnesses. These files were maintained by Richard Arenberg.
