Description:
Subject files from 1971 to 1972 were created to collect background material on contemporary political issues and to document administrative activities. Also included are notes on strategy and correspondence with politicans, supporters, contributors, and staff at Bowdoin College. The files also concern campaign issues such as the economy and busing. Political topics include labor, youth, minority and women voters, the Democratic National Committee, the 1972 Democratic National Convention, Citizens for Muskie committees, contribution lists, and financial disclosure of campaign funds.
